That’s the forecast, but I’m not complaining.
Yes, we’re hot and dry, but the photos coming out of beautiful Colorado break my heart.
I’m over the zinnias that aren’t shaped quite right and the corn plants that may never produce. Our grass already turning a shade of brown normally reserved for late August is of no consequence.
At least we’re not on fire.
I’m revisiting our photos from last summer’s vacation in Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak and the Air Force Academy as the images of the fire consuming land and houses around those areas emerge.




Heartbreaking, and unreal. And silencing.
I have nothing to complain about…
Only heartfelt prayers going up for the residents and those brave firefighters doing all they can against the forces of wind and nature.
